Airport Tours

Airport tours are run seasonally on the following dates:

  • May 16, 2024
  • July 18, 2024
  • September 5, 2024
  • November 7, 2024

Tours begin at 1PM, run about an hour and include:

  • Presentation in Airport Administration Office Board Room
  • Bus tour of the airfield
  • Tour of a Fixed Base Operator (a building where private aircraft pick up and drop off passengers)
  • See the inside of an aircraft (if possible)

Tour Criteria
Offered to school/education, scouting and organizational groups of children (ages 6 and up) and adults with advanced reservations and airport approval.

Maximum group size is 13 people.

Tours begin at the Airport Administration Office which is located at 1020 Plant Rd, Wheeling, IL 60090.
(Enter the building through the green canopy at the north side of the building. Plenty of free parking is available.)
