If it’s January, the Chicago Area 99’s IFR/VFR Aviation Expo can’t be far off. In fact, the expo is this Saturday January 27th starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Itasca Holiday Inn at 860 W. Irving Park Rd and everyone’s invited. You don’t need to be a pilot.
Just like last year, the Expo is divided into three interest categories, so whether you’re focused on flying in the clouds, by looking out the window, or you’re just the companion of someone who’s fascinated by all things flying, there’s a session for you.
Opening remarks begin at 8:45 in both the IFR & VFR rooms, while the companion sessions starts at 9:15. The seminar list, broken down by category, also highlights the best part of the day (to some of course) … lunch at 12:05 p.m.
Dozens of local area aviation vendors will be on hand – including Chicago Executive Airport – so be sure to allow enough time for a tour of the exhibit hall.
For another perspective on the Expo, listen in as Simple Flight Radio interviews 99’s member Madeleine Monaco and Chicago area air traffic controller Eddie Trujillo.
See you there.
